Show-Me Central Habitat for Humanity finished its first home in 1990. In the first 10 years it built 29 homes for Missouri families. In the next 3 1/5 years it has built 29 additional homes. In 2002, Shelter Insurance Company provided $45,000 and all the labor to build a home, thus becoming our first Whole-House Corporate Sponsor.
We welcome volunteers to build, work in the office or Restore, or help us with our fund raising program.
Volunteers are the foundation of Habitat for Humanity. If you can swing a hammer or push a paint brush, you can become part of a group of enthusiastic workers that makes dreams a reality for families in need. If you don't know a roofing nail from a wrench, you can still help Habitat in many ways.. from stuffing envelopes or organizing fund raisers to serving lunch to construction crews and helping locate building sites. The possibilities are endless! The work of Habitat depends on individuals, churches, businesses, and service organizations. All contributions are tax deductible. Experience the excitement of Habitat! Invite a Habitat volunteer to speak with members of your church, business, or service group.
Groups: Schedule by e-mail - showmehabitat@yahoo.com
Individual Volunteers: Individuals welcomed Friday (10-4) and Saturday (8:30-4)
