ReStore
We welcome volunteers at our ReStore or in our offices anytime during our normal business hours of 8:30 am-4 pm Tuesday through Saturday. We need people to answer phones, work cash registers, pick up donations in our box truck, unload donations, sort, organize, and answer customer questions.

Job Site
Construction volunteers are needed Wednesday-Saturday from 8:30 am-4:00 pm. The day is split into two shifts (8:30am-12pm and 12:30pm-4pm) Building experience is not required and our construction supervisor is there to help guide volunteers through any task they may not be familiar with.

You cannot do community service hours on the job site.

Regular Volunteering
​Regular volunteers are really important to our success. They allow for better planning and require less direction over time. We don't expect perfect attendance but people who can commit to general days, times, or projects are a blessing. If you would like to regularly volunteer, please email volunteer@showmehabitat.com or call 573-499-1202. Let the person you speak with know you are interested in regularly volunteering.
We are dedicated to working with volunteers and offer many different options for whatever you may prefer. Please reach out to us if you have any questions, we appreciate your interest. We hope all our volunteers enjoy their time with us and feel useful. If you feel there is anything we can improve to create a better volunteer experience let us know.
Community Service
The Habitat ReStore is open Tuesday-Saturday 8:30 am-4 pm and is always excited to have new community service workers!
What to Do:​
1. Register for your volunteers shifts here: Community Service Registration
2. You will sign a community service agreement and receive a brief orientation on your first day.
3. Come in any time (Tuesday-Saturday 8:30 am-4 pm) when you have at least two hours to dedicate to volunteering! When coming in to volunteer please be sure not to wear open-toed shoes (sandals, etc.), and bring a bottle for water.
4. Each day, you will sign in and out in the community service hours book. On your last day, you will receive a copy of your hours and Habitat will keep the original. Habitat keeps this record to verify any hours needed by the court or other organizations.

Community service hours can only be completed at the ReStore not on our Job Site.

Group Volunteers
Churches, clubs, civic organizations, and other groups play an important role in our mission. Groups support us with donations, volunteers, and sharing our mission with their members. Here are some specific ways you can help.
If you are interested in doing a group build email volunteer@showmehabitat.com. Group builds are typically held on Fridays & Saturdays and the best size is 10 or fewer.

We are always in need of volunteers. Taking the guesswork out and having volunteers on a regular schedule is extremely helpful. For example, a church may commit to providing us with two volunteers every second Wednesday. Email volunteer@showmehabitat.com if your organization can commit to a team.

Company Sponsorship
Three levels of sponsorship are currently available for businesses. Company Sponsors are based on volunteer hours and financial contributions. Contact austin@showmehabitat.com to inquire about sponsoring Show Me Habitat and the benefits involved.
