This year, Habitat for Humanity donations through CoMoGives will go toward our program, The House that Education Built. Your donation will make an incredible impact, helping us provide hands-on learning opportunities for local students while empowering a family with a home they can afford to own.
Through The House that Education Built Project, students are learning valuable construction skills directly on-site, gaining both technical expertise and an appreciation for community involvement. Your contribution supports not only the building materials and resources needed to complete the home but also enhances the educational experience of each student involved. Together, we’re building a brighter future—for the family moving in, for the students, and for our entire community.
Habitat for Humanity provides an interest-free mortgage for the amount it cost to build their home with volunteer labor. Without interest or labor costs, these homes are actually affordable to own. Future homeowners help build their house by completing 250 hours of sweat equity and education to set them up for successful homeownership. They put in their blood, sweat and tears, and pay a mortgage just like everyone else- it is just affordable!
