We will fundraise, build, empower, and party together while making a huge impact on a family forever. Female head-of-household homeowners are on the rise and we want to invest in the women of Columbia to make this trend continue! No construction experience is necessary. Habitat for Humanity will bring the tools, you bring the POWER!
Due to high interest, we have closed registration for the 2024 Women Build.
Help us build good, affordable housing for low-income families in Columbia, MO. You're volunteering and fundraising makes a real and lasting impact on Habitat Homeowners and our community.
A scholarship pays for women, in other non-profit or educational groups, to participate in the Women Build. To provide a scholarship for 1 woman is $500, for 2 women is $1,000, or you can pay for an entire non-profit or educational group for $5,000.
You can also make payment to become a Women Builder or provide a scholarship for another Women Builder by mailing or dropping off payment at our address:

Do I have to know how to do construction to volunteer?NO! We provide all of the tools and training necessary to complete any task on our job site. There will also be volunteer options for those who do not want to build. If you prefer not to come to the construction site at all, you could make a donation to sponsor another woman who would like to spend time on the construction site.

Why do I have to fundraise $500?Habitat for Humanity has to fundraise to buy the building materials for each home that is built in our community. This is a great way for everyone to pitch in and make that happen. If you do not have the means to make a donation or fundraise with your participation, a scholarship may be available. If you have the ability to donate or fundraise beyond the $500, we encourage you to sponsor another woman (or group of women from a partnering nonprofit)! Can I bring my daughter?We love a family affair! Volunteers must be 16+ to attend and register individually.

Can I come to the Women Build Brunch if I do not want to do construction?Of course! Every Woman Builder that fundraises their $500 is welcome to attend the Women Build Brunch! Food/drink, awards, hear from the Habitat Homeowner, entertainment- you will not want to miss this!

Where do I park?The address for your GPS is 3909 Brown Station Rd in Columbia, MO. This will take you to Faith Baptist Church, across the street from the Habitat for Humanity subdivision. Signs directing you to the location will be obvious. There will be a large gravel parking lot visible once you turn into the subdivision on Dropseed Rd with excited volunteers ready to welcome you.

What do I wear?Each volunteer will receive a Women Build T-shirt. Wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting dirty and closed- toed shoes. Dress for the current weather.
